Barcelona Assisted Living

is located in beautiful, sunny McAllen Texas.  We are professionals and owners who work daily on site to ensure both the quality of our services and prompt,  personal communication to our resident families. Since 1998, Mario and Jeanette San Roman have owned Biltmore Assisted Living and its adjacent new home, Barcelona (Established 2011).  Barcelona is designed to ensure residents have quality and personal attention in all facets of their care. The San Romans are dedicated to keeping the residents home beautiful, fun, safe and wholesome.   Our guests say they feel the comfort of a bed & breakfast and place of a vacation. Our caring team is hand selected and carefully trained to ensure continuity and a genuine family atmosphere.

What is daily life like?

At Barcelona Assisted Living, we believe in the best care each and every day, from start to finish. Part of a typical day at Barcelona  includes waking up to the smell of freshly brewed gourmet coffee, made to the preference of each individual resident. We then serve  a hearty homecooked South Texas style breakfast. Afterwards the residents have time to relax in our open cathedral style living room, while walking to and from activities as they choose.  Since we have a variety of residents with different needs, we keep things both scheduled and flexible to accommodate each of them. During the day we offer snacks and beverages to the residents, while still having three delicious, balanced, and filling meals every day

We welcome your call, email or visit to Barcelona. We are experts at creating a custom care plan  to fit your family member. Many of our families need our help in understanding all the possible ways to  pay  for the monthly care. We understand the industry and the resources. Although we are technically a private pay facility, many families are surprised to find out there are some programs such as retirement and social security benefits in conjunction with VA assistance, long term care insurance and other options to fund your care. We Welcome all your questions and will work with you to find the best options for your family’s unique situation.
